help utilizing control character as delimiter within CSVRecordSetWriter Controller Service

Galen Marumoto

Hello,

I need to utilize ASCII 28 (\x1c) as a value separator in a CSV file.

^\

\x1c

1c

28

The CSVRecordSetWriter only allows a single character for the Value Separator.  Thus we are trying to enter the decimal representation for \x1c which comes out to be the control character

Most ascii conversions show decimal 28 as the hollow box.  Does anyone know why the Controller Service would show

Is the hollow box not correct?  Is there a special way to enter this control character?  Or is the Controller Service not interpreting ASCII 28 properly?

Thanks Galen
